Comprehensive Course Descriptions

1. Early Age Orthodontic Treatment – Learn to recognize and manage developing malocclusions in children. Topics include:

• AAPD 2019 clinical guidelines
• Differentiating non-dentoskeletal and dentoskeletal issues
• Palatal expansion techniques and timing
• Correction of anterior crossbite
• Clear aligner applications in young patients
• Growth and development-based treatment planning

Format: Pre-recorded lectures, live Zoom Q&A, and in-office demonstrations
Assessment: 10–15 Yes/No questions per lecture (75% passing score required)

CE Hours: 8

2. Clear Aligner Therapy – Ideal for GPs and orthodontists who want to incorporate or refine aligner therapy in their practice. Learn:

• Malocclusion classification and case selection
• Orthodontic record-taking for aligner cases
• Digital workflow and treatment planning
• Chairside bonding and attachment techniques
• IPR (Interproximal Reduction) principles

Format: Pre-recorded presentations, interactive Zoom sessions, and patient case demos
Assessment: 10–15 Yes/No questions per lecture (75% passing score required)

Dr. Jianjun Hao, DDS, MS, PhD

• Board-certified orthodontist with 15+ years of experience
• Orthodontic training at the University of Illinois at Chicago
• Former Clinical Assistant Professor, University of Connecticut
• Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics
• Published researcher and experienced CE instructor
• Specializes in early-age orthodontics and aligner therapy

Dr. Irfan Sheikh, DDS, MS

• Experienced GP with advanced training in clear aligners and digital dentistry
• DDS degree from Texas
• Clinical instructor and CE speaker in aligner-based treatment planning
• Expertise in digital orthodontics, restorative techniques, and patient-centered care
• Passionate about helping dentists integrate aligner systems efficiently into daily practice
